UNBOUND
My first knowledge of UNBOUND was on a mission trip with my church to Honduras a few years ago. Our trip was to support, give hope, understanding and love to the girls of “Hogar de Niñas” and the “Elderly Home” of Santa Rosa de Copan.
This was my first mission trip and I was very nervous about it. It turned out to be such a great experience; one of a kind. I met and interacted with the girls from the “Hogar de Niñas” de Sant Rosa de Copan as well as the elderly in the Elderly Home. I was touched by their generosity and open hearts.  That’s when I also got to know and talk to the people working with UNBOUND.  They took us to the “aldeas” (small towns) to meet the people that live there. I was shocked by how little they have, yet how happily they live.
The reason I chose UNBOUND versus another great organization is because UNBOUND started in Kansas City; just like me.
Once I started thinking about designing a girl’s line, I thought it was my moment to give back, and immediately, I thought about UNBOUND. Because the world is a better place when we all help each other no matter the color of your skin, language or religion.
This is why my campaign is about girls from different backgrounds; all Americans, some from different ethnicities, some speaking different languages at home, but all understanding each other with a common love and embrace of life.

Because the world would be a better place if we could all laugh and embrace diversity as these girls do.
10% sold on all girl’s collection will be donated to UNBOUND. You can check https://www.unbound.org/ to learn more about UNBOUND and this amazing non-profit organization.
